2. Selection Process:

• The selection process includes a written examination, followed by SSB interviews and medical tests.
• The written examination consists of two papers: Mathematics and General Ability Test (GAT).
• The Mathematics paper is of 300 marks and the GAT paper is of 600 marks.
• Only candidates who clear the written examination are called for the SSB interview.

3. Training:

• Candidates who clear all stages of the selection process undergo a four-year B.Tech program at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala.
• Upon successful completion of the training, candidates are commissioned as officers in the Indian Navy.

4. Syllabus:

• Mathematics: Algebra, Matrices and Determinants, Trigonometry, Analytical Geometry, Differential Calculus, Integral Calculus and Differential Equations, Vector Algebra, Statistics and Probability.
• General Ability Test: English, General Knowledge, Physics, Chemistry, General Science, History, Geography, and Current Affairs.

5. Examination Frequency:

• The Naval Academy Examination is conducted twice a year by the UPSC.

6. Physical Standards:
